Obama's Attack on Supreme Court

The Fifth Circuit has poured gasoline on the rather ordinary ritualized outrage that Obama called the Supreme Court "unelected" by requiring the Department of Justice to write a report assuring them that Obama believes the Court can strike down laws, citing his speech.

The usual Right-Wing pundits are using this as evidence that the Obama is scary, if usual apolitical courts took this extraordinary step.

Sigh.

Freepers, though, add a dash more drama to the proceedings:

moehoward learns something new!
"His course on constitutional law, one of several constitutional law courses on the U of C curriculum, dealt exclusively with the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment—"

Now THAT is why I love Free Republic.

Excellent info!
Eldon Tyrell is pretty sure if the Supreme Court upholds Obamacare, it doesn't count.
these attacks are almost threats. The people have a case against him that any vote now is coerced.
DCBryan1 expects assassination:

If I were a USSC judge, I’d have a food tester and eye in the back of my he’d until 20 Jan 2012. Just saying , it’s the Chicago way ya know?

silverleaf rages against the existence of Federal Agencies.

Barry, remind us again, how many unelected czars you have appointed over us to dictate policy? And who elected the EPA and the IRS and Kathleen Sebelius?

...The Senate

Graewoulf mentions this in passing:
BTW, if re-elected will Obama dissolve the Supreme Court of the United States of America?
Dr. Ursus is inevitable:

I’m sure Herr Hitler had a problem with the German judiciary
in his first term. Not so much in the second one!

  1. Yeah, Obama taught more than just that one ConLaw course. His Intro to ConLaw exams have been floating around the internet for years now, used by law school students as practice... they're really well done, too.

  2. I don't know why I love Freepers trying to out-douchebag each other, but here's another shining example:

Basically a supermarket manager puts up a sign asking shoppers not to bring pork and alcohol through a lane staffed by a Muslim employee. Freepers are unsurprisingly OUTRAGED! and go on and on about all the ridiculously petty things they'd do to this woman in the checkout lane, and come up with more and more contrived scenarios in which customers would be pissed off.

I think they seriously believe Muslims (sorry, "Moslems") are physically allergic to pork.
