ReplyDeleteFreepers now hate Fox News. They are, in defeat, becoming more and more insular. Look at all the people in the news business that they used to love and now hate. It's a long list.
They ponied up for Romney, in the end, and there was no reward. Standards at Free Republic are at an all time low. Off color language is not reprimanded. Racist stuff is only deleted when it is egregious. If you can make your post there without using the words fuck and nigger, it's gold. What we are seeing here is a people in retreat.
Freepers feel isolated and confused. As Bob Dylan said, the times they are a-changing. And Freepers can't deal with it.
This. Freepers had no contingency plan for if Obama ever did anything they agreed with. From day one they were determined to hate him no matter what. They had themselves convinced that he was equal to or worse than Hitler and were sure the majority of the country could see that. Which is why they were so surprised when Obama won a second term, and it wasn't even close. Now, instead of realizing that maybe they were wrong and seeing Obama as he is, a center-right politician, they just double down on the crazy.
