I work with Doctors every day of the week and NO WAY is this guy going to be a Doctor, let alone go to med school. I also know plenty of pre-med students and they don't talk or have views like this. All I met are grounded, career orientated and have their head on straight and don't have these radical views even the more conservative's ones I know so I'm calling him a fraud.

I lived at home when I graduated from college at age 21 for 3 months and it about killed me...I moved out even though my first job payed little.
I'd love for this hateful little drama queen to go into something where he doesn't need to have a bedside manner, but I'm not sure being hateful and lacking empathy would prevent him from getting into med school. I've met some doctors who seem not to like people much.
DeleteI never lived at home post 18, but different strokes for different folks. Loans work for folks not paranoid about the upcoming collapse of civilization, but who is to say saving up first won't work?
That being said, that other options exist I am personally a bit skeptical that he's not rationalizing his staying at home. It's important to have a goal when you're 28 and still living at home!
Yeah, I severely doubt that Wanderer has a chance in hell of realizing his dream (assuming that he's not just posturing for himself or FR). Living at home is fine, but the guy is 28 with only a bachelor's degree and is waiting until he's saved a quarter of a million dollars before he even STARTS working on becoming a doctor?
DeleteNot to mention that while I'm sure a number of doctors do hold hateful or detestable views, they're either able to put those views aside while working or are very old/retired rural folk. For someone trying to enter the profession now, even if Wanderer hopes to be a GP in the Oklahoma Panhandle he'll still have to go through years of school and residency and will be in constant contact with Muslims, Blacks, Poors, Homos, and other assorted Subhuman Leftists.
Maybe he's rationing that his willingness to treat such filth will score him extra heaven brownie points (and what, a bigger golden mansion or something? I wasn't aware that paradise had a socioeconomic structure). Or maybe he's planning on learning the trade as a battlefield medic during Civil War II. All those patriots falling off their motorized scooters during a gunfight are gonna need some help!

DeleteI agree, I have dealt with many Doctors with poor bedside manner and crappy personalities but this guy's m.o. is different. If he did fall through the cracks and go through med school, if he spoke like this out in the open he would be gone quickly as in fired. Hospitals and other personal, especially nurses don't put up with this crap. He would be shunned rather quickly for starters and I know plenty of nurses who would shove their foot up his ass...they don't take shit.
Again, I know many very conservative Doctors and they keep their views to themselves or to a very limited circle of like minded folks. I don't think wanderer is capable of keeping his mouth shut.
