The president left Marines to die doing their duty in Benghazi, fighting desperately to save the Ambassador. From him or by his neglect a stand down order was sent twice.
Maybe this Marine with the umbrella was thinking the whole time about the Marines left to die fighting at the Embassy.
Obama uses Marines as a shoe shine boy and as a Hollywood party prop for his wife (remember that?).
No Marine protocol says they can't hold an umbrella over a president. I believe the "no umbrellas" thing only applies to holding it for themselves. The only Marine protocol that applies in this instance is, if the president asks you to do something, you do it.
