Sarah Palin talks about impeachment. Freepers get pretty excited

FreeperFan and I were thinking alike on this one!

Sarah Palin, in her usual word-salad fashion, says Obama should be impeached for allowing default, and also if he raises the debt ceiling.

At first, Freepers just love them some debt ceiling. But then the Palin lovers show up, and it gets messy and full of caps lock and ellipses and pictures.

kabar blames Obama entirely:
Sarah is on to something. Moreover, I would add that Obama has been signing these spending bills. If he knows that we must borrow money to pay for them, why did he sign them?
2harddrive expects default will be awesome:
I can tell you what happens when we hit the legal Debt Limit! It is called INSTANT BALANCED BUDGET. No default, just an instant, relatively painless, balanced budget! It will be a BLESSING.
Ed Condon's also unclear on the concept of the debt ceiling:
The time has come to cut up the credit card.
PapaNew is still stuck in the Bush era "Starve the Beast" mentality:
Balancing the budget without more is an almost sure way for politicians to justify RAISING TAXES.

The answer is demanding TAX CUTS. As Milton Friedman points out, the politicians will ALWAYS spend more than they get and should be kicked out of office for doing so. Getting and keeping taxes low will lower the level of their mischief and will allow our country to thrive economy.
BigEdLB is ready to experiment with America's future:
That is gutsy... We have nothing to lose, if Cockroach can’t eve remove the medical device tax, ... Well it is sort like a kid and a chemistry set.... lets put these two chemicals together, and see what happens... LOL NO raise the ceiling if there is no real compromise...
VerySadAmerican laments that the media will hide this further Palin masterstroke:
Palin always shows she’s smarter than Obama. But the talking points was how stupid she is and she’s not qualified to be president. The democrat “strategists” said it. The media repeated it. The REAL stupid people in this country believed it.
usconservative wants impeachment, and damn the consequences!
Palin makes perfect sense, she usually does. It's just a damn' shame that we have a House of Representatives that refuses to do its job and Indict, and Impeach Obama inthe first place.

The reality is, Dick Nixon was impeached and threatened with removal for FAR LESS than the Kenyan usurper Barry Soetoro has already gotten away with.....

Yes I know the Senate will never convict Obama - that in and of itself shouldn't stop the House from doing its job!!!
HiTech RedNeck thinks Jesus could balance our budget, if only we can avoid Calvanism...
I wish I had some wondrous insight on how to get the government to be smaller.

Well, actually I do. As always it’s through God. People underestimated God while overestimating the government. We’d need a revival that would make the Great Awakening look like a sleepy slap at an alarm clock.

I used to be skeptical about hell fire approaches, and am not quite so much any more, but what really stank about the way that was used at the Great Awakening was that it was tied to a do-you-feel-lucky-punk human-philosophy Calvinism
The Wizard is pretty excited:
There is only Sarah
jimsin unironically invokes "true American Royalty..."
YOU ARE CORRECT HTR.....SHE’S BEAUTIFUL BOTH INSIDE AND OUT...I’M PROUD TO BE IN A COUNTRY WITH A COUNTRYMAN LIKE HER...AND WHERE ARE OUR STALWART ...REPUBLICAN PATRIOTIC REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS?....ONLIEST ONE I SEE IS THE GREAT AND INESTIMABLE TED CRUZ AND MIKE LEE....I GUESS THE D.C. LIMO SERVICE CO’S TOOK THE DAY OFF? HUH? PRETTY SAD...ONE MIGHT SAY DISGUSTINGLY SAD...SO.....GOD BLESS ALL THREE...WHAT TRUE AMERICAN ROYALTY THEY ARE!
GO YOU BARRACUDA! SHE IS JUST WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH FOR THE PEOPLE...
Sarah Barracuda has wanted Obama impeached since before he took office!
Ive wanted Obama impeached since November 2008, so far no such luck..and this country has slowly slowly become the Socialist Utopia he has always wanted..Obama wants this country bankrupt..because he was taught his whole life to despise everything about America

    1. Lying, lying, ignorant piece of shit.

"Former Democratic presidential contender, Dennis Kucinich, has called for the impeachment of George W Bush claiming that the president set out to deceive the nation, and violated his oath of office with the Iraq war.

The Ohio representative yesterday introduced 35 articles of impeachment against Bush on the floor of the US House of Representatives.

Kucinich unveiled a list of alleged illegal and improper acts by Bush, including war crimes."

"Some House Democrats, including ranking Judiciary Committee member John Conyers Jr. of Michigan, have called for impeachment hearings into allegations that Bush misled the nation about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction and that he violated federal law by approving warrantless wiretaps on Americans. In an interview with The Washington Post last week, Pelosi said a Democratic-controlled House would launch investigations of the administration on energy policy and other matters. She said impeachment would not be a goal of the investigations, but she added: 'You never know where it leads to."

  2. Anyone else notice the one upmanship of self rightousness on FR as of late? People proudly claiming they never drank alcohol in HS, never did drugs, no premarital sex, never viewed porn, don't look at women with lust, don't view any tv shows on TV, don't listen to any music other than Lawrence Welk..

Not sure if rational people have all left the site and only 75+ year old geezers left or what

It was great advice. A few times, I cut short or even walked away from dates where things seemed to be moving in that direction.

But once I found the girl I wanted to marry, I saved it for her until our wedding night. Nearly 30 years later, the frequency may have diminished, but not the intensity.

Self-righteousness on FR has always been popular ...

what is hilarious is,when one-upping other freepers, someone takes it to a ridiculous extreme, claiming they are more-conservative-than-thou because they are a 60yo virgin, or have never eaten a green vegetable in their life.

  3. See, the difference is that we wanted to impeach Bush over things he actually did. Freepers and other RWNJs want to impeach Obama because of things they imagine he did.

  4. Pretty big, bold words from an "anonymous." You know good and well you didn't care about any cover-ups under the previous administration, you couldn't care less if the government kills citizens as long as there's a "war on terror" (hey, if they weren't doing anything wrong, they wouldn't have got killed), you don't care about the NSA spying (hey, if you weren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing worry about, AKA the Patriot Act), and so on. Your outrage over government overreach is about 12 years too late. So fuck off. You're a joke.

  5. But see, nothing you listed is an impeachable offense. I know you wish it was, because how dare a Democrat get elected, but your wishful thinking doesn't magically turn those things into high crimes or misdemeanors.

I'm happy you hate me. That means I'm doing everything right. Too bad you can't charge me rent for living in your head.

  6. "But see, nothing you listed is an impeachable offense. I know you wish it was, because how dare a Democrat get elected, but your wishful thinking doesn't magically turn those things into high crimes or misdemeanors."

Euphdick, Euphdick, Euphdick...... Stop putting the dildo up your ass for a moment. I'm going to teach you something.

You see, Euphdick, in the United States, those elected to federal offices swear to uphold the Constitution. And you see, Euphdick, the above acts violate the Constitution, which are considered "high crimes and misdemeanors".

See, The Magic Negro doesn't get to violate the Fourth Amendment by having the NSA spy on American citizens. (To the worthless asshole above: The Patriot Act doesn't authorize warrant-less wiretapping. It helps to know what the fuck you're talking about.) The Magic Negro's usurped office doesn't grant him the power to declare that CONgress is in recess so he can pack the NLRB with his favorite leftist radicals as he tried to do until he was slapped down by the courts. Say what you will about Anwar al-Awaki being a camel riding Islamonazi, but he was an American citizen, and it's in general a violation of the Constitution to send drones to kill him without due process. Also, the president cannot declare war whenever he feels like it. According to the War Powers Act, troops may only be deployed for 90 days without Congressional approval (which Bush had for the Iraq War, by the way. And yes, Congressional approval is just as binding as a declaration of war, since the Constitution doesn't specify exactly what has to be said to declare a war.) The same could be said about Fast and Furious. Arming Mexican drug cartels that are at war with the Mexican government is pretty much an act of war, once again, without Congressional approval.

Not only do I hate you, I hope your life is filled with nothing but pain, misery and misfortune. I hope you get fired from your 10 hour a week job at the Golden Arches, the box you live in is hauled away, and that you find your "life partner" shoving his cock up someone else's ass---all in the same day.

    Fuck you, I hate you.

  7. No, sweetie, those do not violate the Constitution, any more than when Bush did them. Again, your wishful thinking does not make them unconstitutional. But do keep talking, Comedian. It warms my heart to think that someone as delusional as you hates me for being right all the time. Living rent-free in your head is pretty fun, especially since there's a lot of empty space in there.

But tell me, since this discussion was started by Sarah Barracuda's comment that she wanted Obama impeached before he even took office, what high crimes and misdemeanors do you believe he had committed at that time to warrant impeachment? Since you seem to be defending her by trying (and failing) to make false equivalences, after all.

  10. Without citing a commie lib fag website or blogspot, show me exactly where in the Constitution or a SCOTUS decision that grants the president the power to do any of those things.

  11. Man, you're hilarious. First you whine that he's "violating the Constitution" then you claim that it "doesn't matter if the law isn't in the Constitution". And no, just because a president doesn't follow a law the way you think he should, doesn't mean that it's a high crime or misdemeanor. Same with declaring Congress to be in recess. I know you think that it's a terrible affront to your delicate sensibilities because how dare a Democrat be president, but just because you had to break out the vapors and the fainting couch doesn't mean that the president must be impeached.

  12. Hillary Clinton's London parking ticket reminds Hardraade that Obama was one of the 9/11 terrorists (at least, I think that's what he's getting at). http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3079242/posts?page=17#17

  13. So what you're saying is if the president does something that isn't in the Constitution, then he must be impeached? It all makes sense now! So that's why Freepers want him impeached for playing golf! Of course, that only applies to Democratic presidents, right?

If you want to believe you won, that just proves that your victories are all in your imagination. But I'm sure you'll be needing all the victories you can get after Republicans caved in on the government shutdown and the debt ceiling.
