Walmart comes along, wants to build a store and is denied. They might upset the high dollar apple cart.
So, Walmart would buy OUTSIDE of the city limits and build their store. The high dollar mom and Pop would yell that they were going out of business because of Walmart’s competition, which they were because of the Mom and Pop’s HIGH PRICES.
Then other businesses would flock around Walmart and prosper. The city fathers would see all that tax money they were missing out on and then incorporate the Walmart, and other stores into town.

It seems to me that some lesbians spend a lot of time obsessing over what other people may or may not be thinking about them. There have been several incidents where a female homosexual couple paints hate language on the outside of their house and claims it was done by their neighbors; subsequent investigation reveals that it was done by the homosexuals themselves.There are no conservative hoaxters, only lesbians!
Wasn't there a case just last year involving a supposed arson attack on a female homosexual household that was quickly determined to have been self-inflicted; a basement carpet was slightly burned and some sort of dumb slogan was painted on the wall, but there was no sign of forced entry anywhere in the house.
Then there was the case a few years ago where the female homosexual had written or carved a hateful word on her body, but the word was written backward, revealing that she had done it to her self whilst looking in a mirror.
I have the impression that there are cases in which female homosexuals are incensed that no one cares about their private lives, and that drives them to act out just to call attention to themselves.
It doesn't seem - at least to me - that male homosexuals do this nearly as much.

If some kids get hurt, well, it is all for The Cause..The shooter, alive or dead becomes federal property so there will be no negative toxicology reports. No lose situations for pennies..
I know plenty of gays and many, not all are drama queens. The gay guys I know even admit to it. Freeps are not wrong on this issue.

DeletePeople of all types are drama queens, FReepers themselves being a perfect example. So the claim that they're right in this case is basically meaningless, in addition to being bigoted. It's kind of like saying, "Lots of blacks actually do like fried chicken." The problem isn't that the claim is necessarily false; it's that it treats something that's prevalent among all types of people as somehow uniquely indicative of "blackness."
It's really not that fucking complicated, and whether you're pretending not to get it or are actually clueless, it doesn't reflect well on you.

OK, so there are two. You said "nearly all" of the famous cases in the last 5 years have been hoaxes. How do you qualify a case as "famous"? And how does your list compare to this one?

No one on Free Republic seems as upset by the results of the Innocence Project that has exonerated numerous people off death row for crimes they did not commit as they do by a few faked hate crimes. I wonder why that is? They seem to have little to no outrage at innocent people being condemned to DEATH in a case of mistaken identity or a crooked prosecution...their constant whining about the "power of the state" over them notwithstanding.

DeleteThe "victims" themselves tend to advertise it far and wide through the internet and sympathetic blogosphere, "injuries" received are superficial at worst, the so-called vandalism appears to have been carefully crafted over a lengthy period of time. Any police questioning holes in the case are characterized as "criminalizing the poor victim!"
This "lesbian waitress hate note" case is actually very minor, and perpetrated by an obvious nut-case.
The worst ones (e.g. Susan Smith claiming her sons were carjacked and killed by a black man) are horrendous examples.
Meanwhile, in the real world, there were about 7,000 confirmed hate crimes in the U.S. in 2012. Of these, 48.5 percent were based on race; the FBI notes that "66.2 percent were victims of an offender’s anti-black bias."

Thousands of actual attacks, most often targeting blacks and gays. But when an attack is faked by a black person or a gay person, it's bigger news than most -- if not all -- of the real attacks combined.
Again, I wonder why that is?
