ReplyDeleteIt isn't illegal, unless you try to proselytize someone under the age of 18. In that case, for it to be legal, one of their parents have to be of the faith you are trying to convert them to for it to be legal.
DeleteBut in practical terms, it is illegal, because it isn't allowed. You cannot enter Israel with the intent to proselytize, and will be kicked out for doing so if you aren't a citizen. Christians and less religious Jews are sometimes persecuted for just being there by ultra-religious sects. Israel has problems, just like everywhere else.
